Chord Specialty Dental Partners is searching for a motivated Procurement Specialist to join our team. In this role, you’ll support the procurement team to ensure our organization has the supplies and resources it needs to operate smoothly.

As the Procurement Specialist, you’ll assist with sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotes, processing purchase orders, and maintaining essential procurement documentation. Working closely with senior procurement staff, you’ll develop your skills in negotiation, supplier relations, and cost-saving initiatives while helping us support our dental practices across the network.

This position offers hands-on experience in a high-growth organization where your contributions will help us provide top-quality care for our patients.

Compensation: $60-70k/yr 

Location: Nashville, TN

Schedule: Hybrid Monday - Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

• Sourcing Assistance: Help identify and evaluate potential suppliers by obtaining quotes, proposals, and assessing vendor capabilities to support our needs.
• Purchase Order Processing: Generate and process purchase orders with precision, ensuring specifications, quantities, and pricing meet approved requisitions.
• Vendor Communication: Liaise with suppliers to follow up on quotes, clarify order details, and resolve any issues that arise.
• Documentation Management: Keep accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier communications.
• Supplier Relationship Support: Work alongside senior procurement staff to support supplier relationships, track performance, and address concerns.
• Compliance Adherence: Uphold ethical sourcing practices and budgetary guidelines while following procurement policies and procedures.
• Cost Savings Initiatives: Collaborate on strategies for cost reduction and process improvement to help us make the best purchasing decisions.
• Inventory Monitoring: Assist in monitoring inventory levels and coordinating with stakeholders for accurate demand forecasting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
• Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with a professional approach in interactions with internal teams and suppliers.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in managing procurement records.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
• Willingness to learn and grow in procurement processes, negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
