Responsibilities

The HR Operations Specialist plays a key role in delivering efficient, responsive, and positive employee experience
across the organization. Serving as a central point of contact for HR services, the HR Operations Specialist is the first
point of contact for employees and managers across all locations. This role owns the HR ticketing system, ER intake
and triage, new hire orientation, onboarding, offboarding, leave of absence (LOA) management, and employee
recognition programs, and serves as backup for the Benefits Manager. This is an operational role requiring precision,
follow-through, and sound judgment on when to resolve directly versus route to the appropriate HR owner.

 

Essential Functions

  • Serve as the single point of intake for all HR inquiries, routing cases to the appropriate owner
  • Own onboarding administration from offer acceptance through completion, including background checks and I-9
    compliance
  • Own offboarding end to end, including terminations, resignations, and exit logistics
  • Own day-to-day leave of absence (LOA) administration, including FMLA, STD, LTD, and ADA accommodations
  • Serve as backup for the Benefits Manager during absences or high-volume periods
  • Coordinate employee engagement and recognition programs
  • Maintain and coordinate the organization's job description library

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of HR experience, ideally including leave administration, benefits support, or a service-center/generalist
    capacity

Preferred, but not required

  • Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and state leave laws
