As a Pediatric Registered Dental Assistant at Dentistry for Children in Lodi, you’ll help kids build healthy habits and feel comfortable and confident at every visit. Working chairside with our pediatric dentists, you’ll put your RDA training to work supporting preventive and restorative care, while helping educate children and their caregivers on the habits that keep smiles healthy for years to come. The ideal candidate is skilled, efficient, and detail-oriented, with a patient, upbeat personality that puts kids and families at ease. At a glance

Pay: $32-$34/hour, based on experience
Sign-on bonus: $2,500 paid after 30 days
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–5:00 pm (until 6:00 pm every other Tuesday)

• Assist dentists chairside: passing instruments, suctioning, and preparing and placing materials
• Take digital radiographs [adjust if film]
• Help kids feel calm and comfortable, especially first-timers and nervous patients
• Communicate with parents and caregivers about visits and home care
• Prepare and turn over treatment rooms according to our protocols
• Clean, package, and sterilize instruments (autoclave and Statim) following OSHA and infection-control standards

• Graduate of an approved dental assisting program with current New Jersey RDA registration
• Current New Jersey radiology (X-ray) license
• CPR/BLS certification
• Ability to pass an FBI fingerprint background check, which is required for working with children
• Patience, warmth, and a genuine enjoyment of working with kids
